Studies suggest that a single face serum may be associated with emissions of up to around 460g of CO₂e over its lifecycle. This is similar to leaving a lightbulb on for about 50 hours.

A tree is planted through our partner
Your contribution supports tree planting through 14 Trees Foundation, an organization working to restore degraded land using native species and long-term ecological care.
Their work includes soil restoration, water conservation, and community involvement to help ensure trees grow and ecosystems recover over time.
You receive confirmation and can track your tree
After planting, you will receive an email confirmation with information about your tree and how to follow its journey.
This helps connect your everyday choices with real environmental action on the ground.

Hi, I’m Sia. I’m in high school, I love beauty, and I care deeply about the planet.
GlowBack started with a really simple question.
“What is the environmental cost of my skincare routine?”When I began looking into it, what I found honestly surprised me. Every product, even the clean or luxury ones, has a carbon footprint. From ingredients and packaging to shipping and waste, beauty quietly leaves a mark on the planet.
What surprised me even more was how hard it was to do something about it. There were conversations about sustainability, but very few simple actions that felt personal and real.
So I decided to try and create one.
GlowBack is my way of making sustainability feel tangible. It is not about being perfect or giving everything up. It is about taking one meaningful step that connects our daily routines to the health of the world around us.
Because this is not just about planting trees.
It is about rethinking what beauty can stand for. It is about showing that people like us, teenagers, students, everyday consumers, can help restore more than we take.
I started GlowBack with a simple idea. I hope you’ll help it grow.
